Commenced in September of 2007, the company began business with a rental fleet of approximately 150 units and has grown to carry over 600 machines within its first year of business. With several years of experience and partnership in the business, the key management has the cohesion and compassion towards a similar goal, which puts King at the forefront of the competition. Driven by a motive to provide exceptional service to its customers, the name King Equipment was chosen to identify a company where the customer is truly the King. This philosophy has been implemented as a core component in the operation and is the main premise for which we base our success. At its inception, King Equipment was organized by a group of individuals who could “do it all.” The founders, Ernie and Diane Quijada, both have over 30 years each of equipment rental experience and through their dedication to the business, have developed some of their biggest customers into their closest friends. Diane, through her previous employers, has successfully launched and ran several branches in addition to managed hundreds of customer accounts. Similarly, Ernie’s entrepreneurial spirit inspired him to launch and run divisions for his prior companies as well as successfully start and manage his own equipment rental company, which was later acquired by a major public consolidator. Along with the founders, who were considered top performers in the industry, Brad Santi, a fellow co-worker and former apprentice of Ernie, was also initiated as an investing member into the company. With over 16 years of rental experience, Brad has developed from a trainee into a major sales force that drives the company’s revenues and strengthens relationships. Lastly, Mike Burns has been a resident mechanic and service manager with Ernie for the past 12 years. He is an instrumental part in maintaining the quality of service and is a core component that keeps the operation running fluid and efficient. The long term success of the company is dependent on the ability to deliver good products consistently. On time delivery and quick turnaround on repairs is imperative, but by no means differentiates the company from the competition. Delivering quality equipment however, does provide a huge impact in the customer’s experience. With a fleet of brand new machines, the equipment is maintained up to the manufacturer’s standards by a crew of dedicated professional mechanics and is thoroughly inspected every time it comes in and leaves the yard. In addition to maintenance, all equipment is pressure washed before and after use and repainted when necessary to keep the equipment in mint condition. We can guarantee you will receive like-new equipment and take pride in our business and the services we offer; which is apparent when we arrive on site. In addition to the thorough maintenance we provide on our equipment, we also make great initiatives to ensure prompt delivery to wherever the customer requires. With many employees who are multifaceted, one of our main advantages is our delivery team. If at any point we do not have the wherewithal to fit a customer’s order on a regular delivery schedule, we have several employees with commercial driver’s licenses, who will deliver equipment all night if it is necessary.
